Looking at getting DDR4 2800 or 3000 with 2X8GB and it seems they are the only choice. I usually buy Corsair since I had good experience with them so far.

I've run G.Skill RAM in the past and it worked fine.

G.Skill is a good brand...running 2 computers with this ram and no problems. Had some issues with Corsair in the past..resolved though but had to RMA.

I pretty much use Crucial or G-Skill in everything. Never had a problem with either (8 or so builds over the last decade).

G.Skill and mushkin have been on my short list for a few mem generations now. Generally most companies are pretty close anymore, so I wouldn't get too hung up on the brand name.

G SKILL is the only RAM I buy these days.

I don't buy it that often I guess, but still.

I'm using 8 sticks of G-Skill DDR4 2666 at 3000 on my X99-A. I have 2 sticks of DDR3 1866 in my server. Both very stable. Good stuff.

Have 2 computers running G.Skill ddr3 ram 2x4gb kits (1333 & 1866), my brothers 1866 had some problems, so rma'd it. I've had a bad copy of crucial 2x2gb ddr3 1066, didn't bother rmaing because I was running 2x4gb + 2x2gb at the time.

I would buy either of them again.

Almost any RAM from a major brand is completely fine as long as it has the right specs for your system. Possible exception on X99 where a quad channel kit is your best bet, and it's also good to check that the RAM is on the motherboard's memory QVL.

I had OCZ in my X58 system, then first Samsung and now Team in my LGA1155 system. Zero memory related issues.

During the cd2 days I switched from crucial ballistix to 4 sticks of G-Skill ddr2 1066 which ran close to 1200 MHz.
When the Nehalem came out I bought Skill Pi which was 1600 at cl-777 and later added 3x4 G-Skill sniper to the 3x2 G-Skill Pi.
My i5 has 4x4 G-Skill sniper
I chose crucial ballistix VLP on a 3770k.
Most of G-Skill memory is binned and is harder to oc then ballistix.

I loved my Pi Black 2x2Gb back in the day. DDR3-1600 CL6 was pretty cool on Stars chips that had igps that didn't like high memory clocks.

The wife still has these in her home system atm.

Is a bit of an oddity, they didnt even sell the for very long at the time, I managed to get one set then.

OCZ Blade Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1200 (PC2 9600) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model OCZ2B1200LV4GK

Is like an ancient thing these days I guess.

I refuse to buy any other brands of RAM than G.Skill or Crucial, and Crucial is a distant second compared to G.Skill, imo. The only reason I went Crucial for this build is they had low-latency and low-profile DDR3L, and G.Skill only had one or the other, at least at the time.

Gskill may be the best as of late, nudging out corsair for pricing and reliability of high end kits. It certainly is up there, at least.

I prefer Kingston overall, with G-Skill a close second, and Patriot a distant third. Kingston seems to be the AK of RAM, especially the basic KVR.

There's no such thing as 2800 or 3000. The fastest chips are 2400, and only 2133 is used.

He is obviously thinking of DDR3 and missed the DDR4 portion.

Brianl, as a tip before you post haughty, superior post, where you are correcting someone. Take the 10 seconds to google it.
