what's the trick to set my 104s dvd player to boot from?

been trying to get win2k on my pc darn near all day. finally gave up on the scsi cdrw so I now have my pioneer dvd player set as my first boot device but when i try to boot off the win2k disc it says

Invalid System Disk Replace the disk.....yadda, yadda.
Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM : Failure...


wtf!

Are you positive that the win2k cd you have is bootable? Cause I don't think all of them are.

i am slowly coming to that realization. I just don't know how to tell (other than trying to boot off of it)
