I really enjoy the cold, so I'm happy. 🙂 Besides, my boots are rated to -100F! 😀 I got a ways to go...

EDIT: Has anyone ever done one of those ice dives where they swim in the arctic? I've thought about doing it.

I've been outside most of the morning tending to the smoker. Got three racks of ribs smoking away out there for the game tonight.

Seriously, since school resumed January 8th or w/e I've been walking home in shorts (only a 3-5 minute walk though, I'm not THAT crazy).
 
About 10F outside according to my thermometer. Quite breezy, so the windchill most likely is below zero. I've been quite happy so far this winter - it's been warmer than usual, even with this cold snap. My water lines to the barn haven't frozen yet. I picked up the chickens' water bucket outside and there was a live nightcrawler still wiggling under it (the ground wasn't frozen in that location). With any luck, we won't hit the low temperatures this zone usually experiences (negative teens)
