Actually, Winnipeg is at the southermost part of Manitoba, only maybe ~200km from the US border. However, the weather here is quite unrelenting at times - but it doesn't stop me from walking to and from school with an open jacket 😛

It's really the wind that makes it harsh here. It can be -20C, and without wind, no jacket is needed for me. However, -10 and wind, well, that's another story...

Pretty sweet being able to turn the A/C off for a change and no I'm not kidding - my A/C was on all last week. It isn't paradise either. We have 9 months of Summer and 3 months of Fall and most of those Summer months are miserable if you don't like it hot & humid.

I grew up in Mentor, Ohio (just north of Cleveland) so I know what cold is but I never had to deal with it as far as work or driving. Maybe if I did I'd appreciate my current situation more?
