There's basicly some formulas and it'd be really nice for said forumlas if there were a certain number of dimensions. No solid proof on it though. Hmm, I might have gotten that from the 5 minutes of Stargate I've watched in my life, but I think I heard it else where too.

The easter bunny moves at speeds beyond which the human eye can see. He is within the 3 spatial dimensions we know of you just can't see him.

Oh, you mean he's like the Quantum Squirrels on university campuses? Damned if I see the little buggers everywhere - but never more than one at a time ... 😕

wow after that comment about the squirrels I just realized i dont think i have ever seen two of them together either

"Yo, yo, Squeezle. What's with this? I loaned you six walnuts last week and you said you'd pay me back. What is this acorn sh!t?"
"I'll get the nuts, mang, I just need a little more time!"
"More time? I gave you time. You want I should break your incisors or what?"

yeah it deffinitely looked drug related. Somebody must have spilled squirrel crack on the ground around the where they were gathered.

but we cant experience.....but other beings exist there. Its kind of confusing to me. I've read that there are upwards of 12 dimensions. Where are these so calle ddimensions, what do you do there. What is there purpose? What the hell am i talking about.

uhm they say it just like this: with the SAME object, when you are in one dimension world you see it as a point; in two dimension world you see it as an image (or a projection of that object on a paper); in 3D world yoo see thing as an full object with 3 dimensions (length width height). so those in 1D or 2D world cant feel the other dimensions that you can.
same go for you; you may not feel the 4th dimension - prolly "time" - that those "weird" people see (rumor is that they do exist in this world). they can feel, see or even manipulate the time - liek you do with the 3D object. just liek when you see a ball falling, you may only see 1 image of that ball at a time: the first second you see ball at this point, the second secon you see it at a lower point, the third second... and so on..., but those weird people see the whole motion of the ball "all the time" - they can see the ball at any particular nth second that they want... it s kinda like that... very hard to explain cuz most of us never actually experience such things either... we just assume and imagine those stuff...

did you join just to answer that question?

im not sure but ii think i remember that there are some fairly well accepted theories that there are at least one or two other dimensions, that are required if our current understanding of quantum physics is correct. and so far all experiments done haven't contradicted the theories.

but i might have it all wrong..

didnt the indians used to eat peyote and go on a spiritual journey to other dimensions? or is this just propaganda

There's at least 5 that are beyond the 3 that we know and are accessible by the Oscillation Overthruster. Fortunately, Lord John Whorfin, who was in pursuit of the Overthruster so his Red Lectroids from Planet 10 could evilly dominate all dimensions, was defeated by Buckaroo Banzai and the Hong Kong Cavaliers and no longer poses a threat to humankind.

*puts on hipwaders to reply to this thread*

The "extra" dimensions basically come about as a result of string and superstring theories. They are only consistent if the number of dimensions is either 10 or 26. The reason you don't experience more than 4 is because the extra dimensions are "curled up" so small they are basically not seen by any macroscopic object. I wish I could explain more, but I'm not really familiar with string theory.

the variety in answers to this is amusing to say the least. Does anyone have anything more sound than a hypothesis tho?

String theory is pretty widely accepted, so it's not just a "hypothesis". Find a book on it if you're really interested.
