I had a first today and just thought this might make a good off topic thing.

I was trusted to package and deliver a vial of stuff worth $60,000 today. Just wondering what is the most expensive single item you've ever been in charge of. Needless to say, I treated this vial with great care.

Maybe we could rule out checks, money orders, cash etc. from this discussion. Also, let's keep it to things the average person can carry by themselves.

An automobile I guess. Edit: I dont'think most people can carry a car.

I dont' think I've ever handled anything more expensive than a laptop computer (~1600 $US)

Having access and clearance to electronically send up to $999,999,999.00 at work.

There are security precautions thankfully but in the wrong hands, someone could get A LOT of freakin' money.

From age 16-18 I handled pretty much all of my parent's stock market and bond investing in addition to my own money so that I would learn to be more reasonable with my investments (basically they wanted to teach me that stocks bonds and other investments are just that, investments, prior to this I pretty much treated them as I would a game of roulette, little to no research, just gut reaction which didn't turn out too well.)

/edit not as much as Rossman though!
