I worked for "ms freshleys" a big offbrand pastry chain (vending machine and gas station off brand twinkies, etc.)
For one day, 12 hour shift overnight with no AC. 10 trucks (18 wheelers) came in with 1 type of product on each, we had to unload them to the floor, and then reload them on 10 other trucks (18 wheelers)but this time with a various mix of product. The bad thing? 12 hour shift, you can't leave the grounds even on lunch, 7 bucks an hour, stacks of open trays with snackcakes on them (This was the absolute worst, they were as tall as the trailers and open, we had dollys to use on them that had extra plates welded on them. It was not uncommon to tip over ~10 stacks a night of stuff and have to get down and pick every single thing up.)
Near the end of the night i was sitting waiting on the team leader to flag racks when this prick walks up and tries to pretend he's a manager. "are you sick?" Me: "No, just waiting on dude" prick:"well grab a broom or something"
So i left.
The other 1 day job i can remember is Baywatch came through town (2001 i think?) to do a model search at my college, i had quit school and was temping so they hired me to setup the contest area at a local party apartment complex. 🙂
