The nasty nuns at the catholic school I attended.I'm suprised that I don't have arthritis in my knuckles after having so many heavy wooden rulers slammed into them.

For me it was watching the mini-series V, when the aliens took out their eyeballs and had the lizard eyes behind them. That and when she had the lizard baby

For my little brother, it was the terror dogs from Ghostbusters. The poor kid was scared for months. It didn't help when my other brother and I hid in his closet at night and used a little projector of a terror dog and put it on his wall and then started growling. hehe

Falling through the ice on Lake Erie and then reaching up with my left hand, only to find ice. Luckilly, when I reached with my right hand, I quickly found the hole.

Trust me - mere terror doesn't even begin to describe what I felt when I found ice above me.

Man that probably would've made me have a heart attack

spoiler alert!

This movie.

it would be considered pretty cheesy today, but not when you're 7
years old during the early 1960's.

summary of scary stuff:
the bad aliens have a ray-gun that removes all the flesh of the
dogs/humans who get shot, leaving the skeletons to drop to
the ground. plus, there are giant, man-eating lobster looking creatures.

The scariest thing for me was the pilot light on the gas boiler, in my old house it was at the top of the stairs, and some nights when i went downstairs for a drink from the kitchen, i would look upstairs and freeze when i saw this flickering light, freaked me out so bad i thought it was a ghost or somethin.

One night i even slept on the sofa because i was too afraid to go up the stairs.

I remember the first night i wasnt afraid of it, i was about 8 or 9, i strut up the stairs thinking i was so cool that i wasnt afraid of it anymore, then i heard a noise and ran into my bedroom crying 🙁
