Whats the rule for college dorm laundromats.

ok, so i go into the laundromat, there's only like 6 or 7 washing machines... and they're all taken up but they're all done the cycle! why do people not get their crap on time, i can't wait around because i got an eagles game to watch.

so do you wait?
or do you take out the persons clothes and throw them in the dryer?

When i used to hang around my GFs dorm... and we would wash her stuff... some girls would leave their used underwear just sitting on the counter... and some of them had racing stripes... WTF... :Q

Make friends with the RA or someone with keys to laundry room after hours. Problem solved. Since I worked in the dorms, I got keys to do my laundry whenever.

For now, I suggest you to go and move the stuff off to the side, put a post it note on the door, and hope the other person doesnt pour bleach into your cycle. (Had this happen once, but guy wasnt too bright, had nothing but whites, and my whites were nice and bright.)\

I dunno about where you goto school, but there was always some fool picking and choosing his way through peoples laundry when I used to go, so the rule is to throw your soap and clothes in and sit on the machine until its done. Repeat for Dryer. Take home full load of laundry.

At UM, the washer doors lock but the dryers don't. So I make sure I come down when the wash is done and if there are no empty dryers I take someone's clothes out of the dryer (if they're done) and I put them up on top of the dryer. Then I leave them a nice note and I'm on my merry way.

You DEFINITELY do NOT take out the person's clothes. That has happened to me a couple times..(and I was only a couple minutes late!). Wouldn't it piss you off if you come down to the laundry room to see your clothes not where they were supposed to be...and doesn't the thought of someone (possibly gross) touching your clothes make you wanna puke?

Bleh....makes me so angry. >__<

I'd give them 5 minutes before I take their clothes out. I don't have all day and it's pretty much seemingly acceptable to do in my dorms... a few years ago.

if the person is irresponsible enough to leave there cloths in the washer/dryer hours after the cycle is over, wouldnt it piss YOU off if there are no open machines. i just take the person's cloths out and usally after my laundry is done, there cloths are still there

But how do you KNOW that it's been there for hours? It does piss me off when there are no open machines...but I am polite enough to wait a little while before coming back. Sometimes people have reasons for not being able to get down to their laundry....like maybe an emergency or something. I dunno...do onto others as you would want done onto you?
