What's the quickest you've ever finished a college final?

We were given 3 hours and I just walked out of an International Relations final in 22 minutes. Gotta be one of the quickest finals I've ever taken.

And I wasn't even the first one to finish! Six other people left before me.

What's the quickest you've ever finished?

Edit - A final you actually cared about 😉

I usually stayed the entire time. I obsessed over the things and would redo it 5-6 times if there was enough time to do it. So, I'd say just under 2 hours.

I needed some obscene grade to pass. Like a 98 or something like that. Took one look at the first few questions, wrote "See ya in the Spring" and walked out.

I had a two hour econ final that I overslept for. I arrived an hour late and finished it in 30 minutes.

You are going to laugh.

I had an accounting final that replaced your lowest test grade. Since there were only 4 tests and the teacher was a royal pain in the ass, and as hard as hell, not many attended his final.

The other reason no one showed up to take his final was if you showed up to take the test, you had to take it. If you walked out in the middle of it, you got an F. The F would replace your lowest test grade so if your lowest was a D, then the F would replace that. Not fun.

Anyway, I flunked one of the tests anyway, so I showed up.

The teacher was retiring after the semester, so I was expecting a hard as hell test. It was one page with one question.

How many times have you been absent from my class? (100 points)

If you have been to class everyday, you aced the final. 🙂

I put 1 down and handed the test in. He took roll every morning so he checked his records. Sure enough, I had only 1 absence so life was good. Got my A and passed the class with a B-.

That is awesome

i had a takehome final and a regular final in one of my "real analysis" (math proof) classess. Take home was 10 questions, hard as hell, could work in groups and still only got maybe 5-6 done. Regular final was all this build up of some major proof by professor, whole class could do it together (only 10 people in the class).

Proof ended up being on the fundamental theorum of calc, something we all had drilled into us and remebered....5 mins and most people were outta there.

My last elective was Microeconomics. I only had two classes that gave final exams that semester, so this was the only thing keeping me from graduation. I had done really well in the class up to that point and understood the material very well.

The time-limiting factor taking that test was the time it took me to read the questions and fill in the answer. I probably finished in 15 minutes or less. The professor looked a little shocked when I was done so fast.

Got an A in the class too 🙂.

I took a final in my graduate level lab methods course last week in about 40 minutes. My buddy who took the class a year before me couldn't believe I was done so fast. All the other students were in there for 2+ hours apparently. Hopefully I do well on it, I knew the material pretty well.

-5 minutes.

I came to the final and my english prof came up to me and said, I was reading your final paper and I noticed that you critiqued a story by Poe. You know Poe isn't even in this course, he comes in the next class. He said I could re-write the paper and turn it in a day late for one lower letter grade.

Considering I had a D going into it, expceted an A on the paper, and expected a low C on the test, I thought about it and calculated the best I could hope for was a D (which won't transfer).

Told him to have a nice break and walked out before the test even started.

Went home and looked up the date the book was written, it was 5 years outside the dates covered in the semester material. Was very pissed. 🙂

One CS exam in the states i showed up to 1hr late and it was only an hour and 10min exam. I finished it with 5mins to spare.

Worst one i ever took was back here in the UK though, was my last highschool exam and it was leavers day. I was the only one in the exam from my year. Everybody else in my year was out partying and trashing the place but due to english exam laws i had to stay in the exam for the full 3hrs. The worst bit was that it was a CS exam which i finished in 15mins and got an A in. So i was just forced to sit there.... and sit there..... and sit there..... 🙁

What's funny about that is I would call the A+ cert harder than a few of the finals I've taken. And that's not saying much.

The one I took yesterday... It was 50 multiple choice questions, It took me 19 minutes, and I got the scores back this morning... 50/50.

Not a final, but my NASD Series 7 exam (260 questions) only took me about 90 minutes.

They give you 6 hours. It was one of, if not the fastest finishing times of anyone in my group. I didn't have the highest score out of the bunch, but all you needed to do was pass. I did. 🙂

4 minutes or so.

I had a professor that was incredibly lazy about grading. As such, he would make his tests very short and multiple choice so he didnt' have to spend a lot of time grading. One final ended up being 10 multiple choice questions.
