In college I had my bed made up. Then at night, I would pull out another comforter etc from under my bed and sleep on top of my made bed. In the morning I would just toss the comforter back in the box underneath my bed. Therefore my bed was always made.

I thought I was the only one who did this.

i dont make mine. chinaman, you can spill that logic as much as u want to a parent, and it will never matter, they will still want u to make your bed =\

Haven't made it in many, many years. Wife makes it every day. She's out of it last. Even when she sleeps on the sofa I don't make it. I'm not sweating the small stuff. Unmaid beds = very small stuff.

because it stops the duvet from gettting all messed up in the cover and it feels better getting in.

when you're a kid, it helps teach you responsibility.

when you're an adult, it helps keep it neat looking.

There is only one reason:

So that WHEN/IF you had a girl over, she doesn't think you're a complete slob. You have to continue this tradition until she begins making it for you every morning.

lol...true

once upon a time (before box spring matresses) the term "making your bed" actually meant getting the straw, blankets etc. and physically making your bed.

I've never seen the point. I could understand if I actually spent more awake time in the bedroom, but for me, it's out of bed, into the shower, return to the bedroom to get dressed, and I'm not back in the bedroom until about 2 minutes before I go to sleep.
