As of yet I haven't found a wireless mouse with decent latency. I can't stand mouse lag.

you can feel cord resistance even if it doesn't snag on something. not just pulling back...but bending from side to side. i hate corded mice

If someone pisses you off you can chuck the mouse at them.

For real! Do not try this unless you like self ownment. (I don't think that is a fvcking word but at this point there is no matter) The thing will take a shortcycle trip like mister boomerang and pop you good in that ole foulmouth puss of yours!

Yeah, that will teach ya!

Now if you use a breakaway cord you can achieve some real effective velocities with a nice tangential launch, trebuchet style.

If you have a lappy with BT, then a BT mouse is the way to go. Too bad the ones out now suck.

mouse with no tail... that sounds like a laptop's best friend... too bad the transmitter is not pcmcia and you could just leave it in there... and use the mouse right on your notebook on your lap in classes....if you are in a hall with not desktops...

In response to the OP,

Because with your HTPC, the wire can't go through the glass in the stereo cabinet. Also, a wired mouse has much more limmited range.

At least that's why I would consider a wireless mouse (currently using wired opticals on all my boxes though)

Because you like mouse lag?

I don't care what you say, I've yet to see a wireless mouse without pointer lag.

Have you used the MX700 or MX1000?

Many thousands of people, including myself, and including reviewers, have never experienced lag.

i'm so happy i had a wireless keyboard/mouse setup in college... placement of the computer just would have been too stretched w/o dealing w/ extensions... not only that, the cords would be hanging off the back of a keyboard/mouse board. I don't game much, so it doesn't matter.. but whne I do, it doesn't bother me
