I don't watch movies because I have nothing better to do than see if it's any good. I always have something better to do.

So if I sit down to watch a movie, I pretty much already know I'm going to like it a little. And if that's the case, it's cheaper for me to buy it, even on Blu Ray. Find it on sale for 21-25 bucks. You can't even take two people to the theater for that price and eat/drink anything. Plus, in the theater, you don't get all the extra features.

As a result, I have a lot of movies, and nothing I don't like. All of them have been watched multiple times, and let's not even talk about the kid's movies that have looped all day for days on end.

There only one film I seen over 15 times. Don't watch stupid hollywood films more than once.

Maybe you should watch a few other movies. It might improve your grammar

I don't care how I type over the internet never have. I could but what is the point ? Not like it matters or we are graded on it.

I have a bunch of the old classic movies (like with Katherine Hepburn / Spenser Tracy) and some of the more recent ones. My brother also has a lot of movies, mainly recent ones, that he likes, sci-fi mainly for him. And I have a extensive (and growing) collection of TV show series (like Mission Impossible / Get Smart / Hawaii 50) etc already. As to books, I like to collect the best authors, like Tom Clancy, Cliver Cussler and some others. These are all in hardcover, so between fiction, non fiction / historical and reference texts, there are over 2000 books (and I am running out of bookshelf space)

Cause some people LIKE to watch movies. We watch extras. We listen to commentary tracks more than once. For me half the fun of owning movies is to be able to expose other people to movies they've never seen or heard of.

My gf has never seen American History X, and I know people who have never seen Shawshank Redemption.

PS it's a lie... HT + content would be more than 4k in taxes, but not the system alone.
I shudder to think how much I've spent with taxes and content added in, especially if we count gaming stuff.

My Kuro was $2500, Blu-Ray $250, receiver $250, HTPC $500, Wii $400 (with games and all), cables and other misc stuff $250. So right now my setup is a bit over $4k, and it'll get me through college at least. One personal goal in life is to buy the Focal 1037Be's for fronts ($14k/pair), as part of a 7.1 system (speakers only are $20-22k). Amp and receivers in the $5-7k range. Then add video and sources for another few grand. All said and done the home theater room will be $50k+. So, $1000 or more in DVDs/Blu Rays/etc isn't significant in the grand scheme of things.
