I want to fantasize about buying a really exciting new car, in case I win the lottery. I promise I'll never drive it in Florida, in either real life or fantasy, so no Oldsmobiles or Caddies or anything. No midlife-crisis guy cars, please. And not a minivan, I'm sick of those.

If $$$ were no object, what would be the perfect old lady car?

I'm thinking about this 49 Chevy Pickup, but I'm open to suggestions.

It's my fantasy, dude, so "cool" all the way. Not ridiculous, though.

why not a thunderbird? yes i don't really trust ford and i think it is extremely over-priced, but i think it's a unique car.

or maybe jill's chevy nomad from home improvement. i think that car is pretty cool.

boohoo. I drive a '95GS. Yes, it's a granny car, but I love the ride. Only thing that aggravates me is that I like to go camping, but if I tried to drive that car on anything that wasn't paved, I'd probably tear the sh!t out it. I need a truck :(

I drove a beat up 91' Geo Prizm for a while, so this is a small step up. I do miss my Sierra though, trucks > *. :(

Oh, and for some reason Geo cannot make a door handle to save their life. In the 1.5 years that I had it I went through 4 door handles (one on each side except driver rear, and passenger front twice). When I sold it the rear drivers side one was coming off though, so that would have completed it.

Luminas are the devil! Well, the one I had was anyway. Looked like crap, rode like crap (shocks were completely shot), and ran like crap. The starter module died one day while I was driving down the highway, leaving me with almost no steering or brakes. Fortunately I was able to turn into a gravel parkinglot and roll to a stop. Had to have the car towed off.

Let me get this straight. You win the lottery and you decide to buy a '49 Chevy truck? You need to have your head examined. Just get the Oldsmobile already...

Buy the fastest, hottest car going, pack it with options, make em drool let em eat your "granny" smoke.

One of the few bennies of living long is being able to collect enough gold to get cool toys, make the kids drool I say.
