What's the most you got paid as an undergrad intern ??

Back in 97 it was 14/hour. It can't be compared against a salaried position because usually there are no benefits .. ie vacation, medical, pension, 401k, sick leave etc. Although the overtime pay was great

haha, if I count overtime than I made well over $30.00/hr. This was back when i was doing sys-admin stuff for the summer.

Anything over 8hr/day was 1.5 and anything over 12 hrs was double 🙂. They served dinner as well, it was sweet 🙂.

At one point I was doing like 60 hrs/week other than money I hated that job.

I manage all the interns at a HVAC company. I'm basically the head intern. I've been working at the company since I was 15. Started in sheet metal and worked my way up to AC Design.
any of your relatives are working for this company?

$43 an hour as an intern undergrad???? Thats over $80,000 a year.

HVAC is a specialized field, without many engineers. Many top companies pay more than that. I work for one of the top 50 in the country.

Out of curiousity, how did you guys get your internships? Did they visit your school, did you goto them, did you just send them your resume, etc.

I was at the Cottle Road site in San Jose. SVL is nice. That was back in 2001. I think its Hitachi now, I'm not sure. Know of any job openings there? 😀
