Whats the most times you've watched a movie (on the big screen)?

I might have seen one or two movies twice (with different people), but that's about it (and I can't even remember what movies they were, either :p)

Kill Bill 1... 6 times and not even intentionally (though I certainly didn't mind seeing it 6 times :p). just multiple times with different groups of friends.

second place for the Director's Cut of Donnie Darko, which I saw 3 times (twice by myself, once with my roommate).

I know i've seen one movie twice, but i'm not sure what it was. I think it was Higher Learning.

With today's movie prices, i refuse to see a movie more than once. Hell, i rarely go to any of the ones i want to see once.

Exactly. Due to the increase in prices I rarely see movies at all anymore. It pisses me off too, when I'm talking to someone and they ask if I've seen xyz and I say no, and they flip out like it's the end of the fvcking world.

Sorry, I don't feel like shelling out $10 to see a movie I could download, especially when I don't even feel like downloading it.

Edit: I should also add that most movies that come out anymore don't interest me so that's another thing. It just pisses me off that I could go and see it on the big screen and pay around $20-25 or wait til it comes out on DVD and pay the same and have more readily available refreshments without having to worry about sneaking them in somehow.

I hear ya. I don't download movies, i usually just wait until DVD. I don't find going to the theater that enjoyable anymore anyway. Seems like no one can leave their kids at home, or sit in one place for the length of a movie. Too many inconsiderate people at the theaters in my opinion.

I have friends who work in the theatres I go to, so its usually free. But movies prices are pretty damn bad.

Good to have friends like that. I'd see a lot more movies than i do if it were free.

Movie ticket prices here are still $6.75 (until I can't pass as a student anymore), but even then it's only a buck more.

Yup. I'd much rather buy the DVD, have unlimited watches as well as the ability to take it with me anywhere, and watch it whenever I want.

Haha... matinee? What's that? Doesn't exist anymore here. $9.25 for movies and "matinee" showings (2 PM cutoff on most days) is $7.75. Fvck that.

I went to the local REAL theater, you know, one screen, totally badass setup (The Senator if anyone's familiar with the Baltimore area) to see Ep3. There were 3 of us. We LITERALLY walked in with our prepaid tickets, right past the ticket booth, handed our tickets to the dude that rips them in half, walked past the refreshments counter, into the theater, past an usher, sat down, and... Opened up the BK value meals we'd all walked in carrying in plain sight :p

Yes, we walked into the theater with burger king in plain sight, with drinks, and nobody challenged us at any point. We've done it several times with several movies there. Nobody cares. I don't even think it's against the rules. The whole "sneaking food in" crap is exclusive to the little sub-par multiplexes.

Just another perk of living in the boonies. Actually a few local theaters have free matinees for certain titles. Other times they're $4.50 I think. I think what they're banking on is that people will think "hey free movie, might as well blow money on the expensive food and drink".

Austin Powers 3... like 5 times. Not because I wanted to but because different friends wanted to go at different times. That was tortuorous after the 3rd time.

My wife dragged me to Titanic twice, and I can't recall seeing anything multiple times before that. We only see one or two movies in the theatre these days anyway; with three kids and babysitters wanting $8-$10/hr, it costs a small fortune to go to dinner and a movie now. On the rare occasion that we have a sitter, there are usually a lot of things that come before the movie theatre on the priority list.

EyeMWing - Irvine Spectrum Center. Socal. Four giant screens and an IMAX, with multiple screens with digital projectors and proper chest-thumping sound systems. Biggest theater complex around for miles and miles. Surrounded by bars, clubs, shops, glitz and whatever. Won't let you bring in a smoothie you bought at Jamba Juice down the walkway, nevermind a full meal. Point - the big guys will try to screw you into paying for 8 dollar concessions as well.

Never done that. It seems to me it is somehow lame to go many times and learn it by hard. Once on the big screen in a theater and once on the big screen at home when the movie is on DVD!!! That is the best formula :D

But still different people, different ideas...
