What's the most powerful car you have been in, and driven.

I have driven a 2010 Shelby GT500.

I have been in a modded 2009 Corvette Z06, thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 600hp.

I've driven both a 6spd 997 Turbo S, as well as an Exige S240. Both were exciting as hell-I even got the 911 a little sideways. The Lotus was a far more visceral experience-it went like stink, made loud noises, had incredible steering feel, and a ridiculous amount of grip. The 911 was obviously much more refined, and the feeling of the turbos spooling up and the back of the car squatting at WOT was the closest I've gotten to warp speed! 😀

1100 horse supra. Mk4. Car was much more fun when it had a manual and 650 horses. The auto and the lag made the car less fun to me.

My 7. 480whp.

599 GTB, ~600hp with the f1 flappy paddles.

Edit:

Other than 'street cars', I've also driven one of those drag cars at some track events.. It wasn't a top fuel or whatever, I actually have no idea what it was, but faster than any regular street car. I don't really think that counts though.

Hayabusa was probably the fastest street vehicle.

I'm going to drive one of those next month. I've driven a Lotus Elise, which is the most fun by far. I've also driven a few Vettes, an M3, a 911, WRX STI, and some modded Mustangs including a few Cobras.

Probably around 400hp is the max. They all pale in comparison to my bike though... except for that Lotus.

Both my cars are pretty fast (in the mid 500's) but my mechanics drag car is in another league. I drove it like Sally once, and had the displeasure of riding shotgun with him another time. I think the car makes around 600 hp

his car at 2:05 from an event a couple yrs ago. car runs a low 9

keep watching it runs and then they have it launching at 2:35

A 2007 BMW Z4 M.. 330hp.

Well I've also driven C4 Corvettes and an LT1 Camaro which might have more horsepower since they were underrated. I drove all of them hard since I was test driving

I got to sit in a Funny car with Kenny Bernstein standing by me with the motor on (but throttle/controls disengaged) as a kid in the 80s at Ennis. It was some photo op thing, I bet that never happens anymore. That thing was LOUD, and I remember some posters saying '300mph'. I actually went zero mph, but it was a ton of fun anyway. I think those cars are in the multi-thousand hp range.

Fastest car I've driven is a CTR3, but I was not able to give it any throttle at all. It was on the side streets of RUF/RAC, and I drove it for about 1/10th mile and a single turn before pulling over and swapping back. Riding was hellishly fun though.

Fastest car I've legitimately driven is now a C5-R that one of my clients has substantially upgraded motor wise. The last dynos were only about 700whp, but that was over a year ago, and since then he's built up a new Katech + Eaton setup that he says should be good for closer to 900. I believe him. I did not come even close to pushing the car to its limits, but was able to feel a 30-80 push like I've never seen before. It made the fastest car I've ever owned, an E39 M5 6MT, feel downright anemic in comparison.

2012 BMW X5-M - 555hp. I'm not sure what the HP rating on my boss' old racecar was but probably less than that (it weighed a lot less though).

I've driven nothing ridiculous. Probably the Lincoln MKX with the 305hp 3.7L V6 engine. Same as the V6 Mustang I think. It's actually the only SUV I really like.

Trucks I've driven the Ford F-450 Super Duty and the International DuraStar. Big diesels. They start at 560ft-lb of torque. Big heavy beasts but they haul arse when they're empty. The DuraStar is intimidating at first but I actually liked driving it. Handles well in snow.

Fastest vehicle I've "driven" is a Cessna 150. They cruise at 200km/h.

i drove a mazaratti a rich girl had in HS back in the 80s. i also got to drive my best friends dads full blown ford anglia. that sucker was almost 700hp of scary ass metal. the wheel base of a vw bug and all that power. best friend also had a 65 chevy II nova with a built 350 that was plenty powerful that i drove regularly. i had to drive it in socks, my boots hit 2 of 3 pedals, they are too close together. ive driven a few 400+mustangs, an elise that i almost couldnt get out of, and plenty of litre bikes and such. i still dont feel qualified to track a real race car.

Fastest car I've been in was my friends 8 second mustang.

Fastest car I've driven would be my friends 700whp tt g35
