What's the most effective fat burner pill you've used?

I've tried numerous fat burners in the past. Of course while eating healthy and exercising regularly (working out 4x/week and 2 days of cardio). I just want to see what has worked for everyone and what hasn't. A lot of people say that Muscletech products are nothing but a marketing scam. I believe this to an extent, however Hydroxycut has proved to be by far the most effective fat burner I've ever tried. I don't use it regularly, but just for special occasions when I want to get a lean, cut look.
****************
Here's my list:

Hydroxycut (American version): Impressive, very quick results.
Stacker 2 and 3: Very little results, if any.
Xenadrine: Small results, but not very noticable in a short period.
Xenadrine RFA: No ephedrine, no results, not worth a penny in my opinion.
Xenalean: This supplement can occasionally be found on eBay for $12.99. I was very impressed and rank it the #2 fat burner.
Ripped Fuel: Caused a lot of anxiety, but worked fairly well.
Metabolife: Very small results.
Cutting Gel: This stuff is messy and a joke at that! Any results are psychological.

************
Post the burners you've tried and how well they've worked for you. Please don't post if you plan to flame this thread or talk about how these pills have too many side effects, etc. If I wanted to hear about that, I'd type it in at "Google.com". I'm just curious to see the results that some of you have gotten.

That's one negative effect to all of the ephedrine based diet pills. You can lose it temporarily, but once you stop taking them you'll gain it back. Unfortunately, they're some of the only ones that work.

Xenadrine RFA-1 really speeds up your metabolism, but also your Blood Pressure and Heart Rate. Use at your own risk.

I've found that pushing myself away from the table and out the front door to take a long walk at least once daily has been the most effective fat burner going. And what's even better is that it's free :)

ppl takin' pills irritate me.

go out and get some real excersise, a nice 20 min jog 3+ times a day, upper/lower body workouts. Do that for even TWO weeks and you'll see noticable results..

stop whining about the pills and GET OUT THERE AND BREAK THE SWEAT! ;)

I found this supplement to be very weak and it gave me no noticable results. I don't believe it's that much of a threat to your heart b/c it is ephedra-free.

Crank and crack have are known to be 100% effective at weight loss, especially when they are taken several times a day for months. The side effects of this regimen could be paranoia, incarceration or death. YMMV.

I, on the other hand, prefer to jog behind Geekbabe as she makes her rounds of the neighborhood.

Edit: Disclaimer. I don't even live in the same state as Geekbabe, let alone the same city or neighborhood.

All of these use ephedrine, which is just a legal form of speed. It's main benefit, contrary to advertising and "fat burning" claims, is that it curbs your appetite, and speeds up your heart rate.

You might as well snort coke or shoot crank. It's the same exact effect. And it has the same exact dangers, as well.

Folks, as of yet, there is no magic pill. Your body is a product of millions of years of evolution. In those millions of years, we were forced to chase, and or cultivate our own food. We were also forced to go hungry at times. When we stopped chasing our food our bodies stored extra energy as fat to use once foods became available to chase.

What does this mean to you? You need to start chasing your food. Your body requires at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity 3 times a week. That's the minimum requirement. If you want to lose fat, I suggest 40 minutes, 4 days a week at the maximum of your target heart rate.

You will never, and I mean never lose the spare tire around your waist and KEEP IT OFF unless you run/bike it off and continue maintaining it with regular aerobic exercise.

when you compare Metabolife with Xenadrine and other pills, the ingredients in Metabolife are like what 2-3 pills of Xenadrine contain. (Read the labels in the back, then read the suggested servings, etc.)

Out of all those pills, I only tried Metabolife for a prolongued period (sometiems when I would run out I would borrow a few of my suitemate's Xenadrine, but only like enough for a day or two). I lost about 25 pounds in 2 months with a small change in diet and regular exercise, but over the course of 2 years gained about 15 of it back.

i used stacker 2 for a few months while working out and jogging and i lost about 40 lbs and have only gained back like 5 since i stopped about a year ago.

those folks who are just using these instead of excercise are fooling themselves. but those who use it in addition to their excercises, i wish you the same success i had.

Keep the replies coming...I was thinking about going on ripped fuel to lose that little bit of fat so that my abs are cut instead of barely visible and I'm too lazy to do cardio so I'm curious what works...

Can the ephedra in these things make you fail a drug test? The reason I ask is that my brother's probation officer told him not to take them for that reason, and I'm going to have a military physical in a few weeks that will have a drug test.

jteef-- drug tests can pick up ephedrine (ma huang) in trace amounts in some people. Another Marine in the same office as me takes Xenadrine as I do, and we've never had a problem. But a Marine in an adjacent section took it and when the urinalysis test came back, he was "positive." I'm basing this off of what he said, but he said he did some research on it and some people are affected, others aren't.

NewSC2:
Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesnt metabolife AND xenadrine (as well as ripped fuel and nearly every other ephedrine based product out there) use ma huang in a dose standardized to 20mg? I believe that's kind of the industry standard dose for ephedrine based supplements.

Amused: Xenadrine RFA does not use ephedrine. I believe it uses chromium piccolinate as its active ingredient. However, from what i hear, it also doesn't work as well.

Anyone else found hydroxycut to work better than xenadrine? I've been using xenadrine, and it works fairly well. About as well as AST's (ast-ss.com) "Dymetadrine Extreme", though i shouldn't be surprised as they use almost the exact same ingredients. Never tried hydroxycut.

As far as safety is concerned, I never take ephedrine based products any sooner than 4 hours before any cardio activity. I use it to raise my resting metabolic rate during rest (since i'm at a desk most of the day), but I avoid it during cardio as the combined effect of aerobic activity and ephedrine has caused several Marines to die. (I believe that's what you were referring to, Nessal)

This is kind of off the subject, but i've found that (ephedrine + creatine + glutamine + whey protein + cardio & lifting) gets me the best results. Ephedrine helps with metabolism, creatine helps recovery and maximizes workouts, glutamine helps repair and recovery, and protein helps rebuild muscle tissue. Works wonders, as long as you don't leave out cardio & lifting. Then you just get *very* expensive urine.

hydroxycut has given me pretty good results, i don't use it as much anymore tho...nowadays is just hardcore cardio and watching what i eat...

if you know how to jump rope like boxers do...that's an awesome way to burn calories as well as work your calves :)...i find it more effective than running....

Your body is a product of millions of years of evolution.

There is no evidence at all that humans have existed for 'millions of years.' Change it to thousands....;)

Fat Burning Pills are a SCAM! I NEVER put any pill into my mouth that I have not researched the effects and knew how long I woiuld be 'on' them.

I often wonder why people are so gullible. GNC and other stores would close down if the truth were known.

If you want to lose weight one must change their lifestyle and diet. There is no substitute.

I used Hydroxicut to do just that. Taking a pill and expecting fat to fall off is silly. If taking medication is a way to get you off your butt, (in the case of Hydroxicut, 2 pills a day (1/6th a mornal dose) was plenty to give me the edge or drive to workout) and workout than go for it.

Keep in mind, ephedra will harm you. Let's not sugarcoat it. Sometime you just need a kick in the pants and legal speed can do that.
