for me, its the scene in True Romance when Alabama is getting the sh!t beat out of her and then goes crazy and kills James Gandolfini's character. The scene earlier in the movie where the pimp gets killed is pretty irrestible for me too. I am not a violent person by nature, but for some reason I am always drawn to watch this scene if it comes on one of the movie channels. For instance, if I'm getting ready for dinner and it comes on, I'll be late for dinner so I can see the scene.

Any others?

when the warden finds out about the escape in shawshank redemption.

EDIT: oh, disturbing. that scene isn't disturbing, but i still have to watch it whenever it comes on.

There's a bunch, but I can't seem to think of much at the moment.

The overdose/adrenaline shot scene in Pulp Fiction comes to mind.

When the one guard doesn't wet the sponge in The Green Mile.

A History of Violence has one or two.

The scene in Saving Private Ryan where Upham waits at the bottom of the stairs while his comrade gets slowly knifed in the heart.

How about the scene from American History X where he makes the guy bite the curb. That is one of the most disturbing I can think of, although I gotta say, I don't like to watch it.

Havent seen this, but was it directed by Peter Jackson (same director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy)?
May have to check this one out

this makes sense if so, because I remember reading how Peter Jackson praised Cabin Fever which I thought was disturbing

FTW!

HE doesn't just bite the curb. He kicks the ever living $#it out of the back of his head and shatters those things all over the place - edited on most versions.

I was thinking that, if the idea is gore, then def something from kill bill.

Yeah, the stupid anime scenes and the massive fight scene with all the ninja guys (From Part II I think?) were just lame and overdone

Kill Bill 1 and 2 were more of an "OHHH that guy just got his head lopped off!" sort of comic book violence whereas movies like Reservoir Dogs (the ear-cutting scene) are far more disturbing IMO.

Various scenes form Irreversible (rape scene and the head being caved in by fire extinguisher scene)
