I had a McNugget once that was chock-full of who the hell knows what. It had this bizarre ooze that came from it, this weird odor, strange colors. That was 15 years ago. Haven't had one since.

Hands down Durian.

I tried that shit after watching Andrew Zimmern. Omg that is putrid. After GF and I ate it, we'd burp in the next 48 hours and then you'd have to deal with disgusting smell all over again. That got us all nauseous too, living the nightmare over and over.

pretty much this

good god it is fucking gross

A cockroach. I was at an Indian restaurant in Toronto, and eating a vegetarian curry dish. I bit into something hard and it squirted an evil tasting slush into my mouth. I removed the hard item, and saw it was a large cockroach. I nearly puked on the table.

That was a meal I did not pay for, and will never forget.

It is interesting that many of the items other people are listing are some of my favourite foods, like uni, squid, octopus, scallops, liver, kidney. Haven't tried durian yet.

It's an amazing source of protein. Cockroaches are perfectly safe to eat.

Your girlfriend.

Durian without a doubt. I thought all those people were just overreacting, but I was proven wrong in spades.

Eyeball was prob the next in line. The taste wasn't bad but the texture was awful, felt like one of those gummy candies you get stuck in your teeth.

Sounds pretty nasty.

I've eaten things that sound like they would be gross but weren't, such as meal worms - they were nice and lively right before going in the frying pan - they actually turned out to be quite tasty. Fried them in butter and garlic.

The things I've eaten which gave me a vile reaction, off the top of my head:
* McNuggets - one time I got a "bad" mcnugget that had bone and grisle in it, and makes me queasy just thinking about it. That was literally the last McNugget I ever had.
* McRibs - yet another disgusting McDonalds meal. Needless to say I don't eat at McDonald's at all anymore - and haven't in probably 15 years.
* Had some bad sushi once, tried to force myself to throw it up but couldn't. Some people don't understand that sushi is meant to be eaten immediately or as soon as possible after being made, or at least the kind with fish in it is. Person in question had the sushi sitting in their fridge for a week, unbeknownst to me. After one piece I started gagging but just couldn't force myself to throw up, so was feeling horrible for the next 4-5 hours.

Lol.

When I was in China, I ate some really awful things. They are actually considered delicacies over there and I felt obliged to at least try a bite since I was a guest.

Fried scorpions: tasted just like bland potato chips, really.
Pig's stomach: Pretty nasty.
Sea urchin: The worst texture imo. Tasted like biting into raw cartilage.
Barbecued lamb spine: tasted surprisingly good.
Monkey brain eaten raw from the skull of a freshly killed monkey: Never eaten, and pray I never will. BLECH.

Stomach is pretty good. I love cow's stomach but as for pig stomach, I prefer it fixed in a black pepper soup with tripe.

I've eaten a lot of disgusting things but for the most part, they don't taste bad but they usually do not taste excessively great. In terms of things that I really hate has to be liver. I just can't stand the flavor. Pig's blood is also another thing I do not like the taste of too much.

But stuff like duck tongue, chicken feet, duck feet, cow's stomach, pig's tail, offal I'll eat but I generally would prefer the good old meat for the most part.

And yes, Durian is disgusting.

I actually enjoy durian...the smell takes a bit of getting used to, but it tastes sweet. I draw the line on brain though

With all due respect, are you being serious? My jaw literally dropped while reading this. I can't tell if you are pulling everyone's leg or if you are serious. What you're describing is French Onion soup and it's by no means an adventurous or challenging dish (to eat). May I ask how old you are? And what types of foods you ate growing up? I have met many people who are fairly naive food-wise (not passing judgement), but you take the cake.

u mad bro? 🙄

Why would not liking something be pulling someone's leg? And why would age even matter? It was gross, period. I'm not a big fan of stuff that looks and tastes like cat pee, but to each their own.

Tried boiled peanuts a couple years ago in SC. Put one in my mouth, chewed once, and promptly launched the remains onto the ground. As disgusting a thing as I've ever tasted. I can't even imagine how a peanut could be made to taste so foul.

My wife and in-laws love boiled peanuts and I cannot stand them.

Vegemite is up there for me. I don't understand the appeal at all.

D: D: D: What did the cook / manager say when you pointed that out?

Oh right I forgot I shewed into a bandage baked into a loaf of subway bread once. Yes that's right a bandage!! At least I'm 90% certain that's what it was.

Hate boiled peanuts? WTF?

I freaking love them. Add some salt.. and the peanuts taste good.

Also.. boiling whole peanuts(with shell) >> Boiling just peanuts.

Theoretically, the most disgusting thing I've eaten was pig intestines... which I have done three times. First time was on purpose, the next two were by accident. I was in China and I ordered by pointing at random dishes on a menu with no pictures. Took a couple times before I figured out what the "intestines" character looked like. They were kind of gross, but not entirely gag-worthy. Actually, the first time I had them they were pretty good.

The one thing that I hated more than anything that I've eaten, though, would have to be oysters. Or rather, an oyster, because I've only ever put one on my mouth in my whole life, and I was not able to swallow it. I was hoping it would be delicious like a mussel; instead, it felt like someone had hocked a pickled loogie into my mouth. I had to run to the bathroom to get rid of it.

I ate a fish head once.. it was burnt pretty good so I mostly tasted charcoal but it was extremely difficult to chew and get down. Never again
