I was working with another team the other day and the guy I was working with got an email and the sender's email came across with a picture of OJ Simpson's mug shot. (we have pictures turned on for outlook).

I thought it was funny and asked who that was from. The said oh, that's "Juice".

Ok, I get that. OJ Simpson had the nickname of Juice.

So I had to ask why they called him "OJ".

Oh. That stands for "Other Jim".

Uh. Ok. So why "Other Jim"?

That's because his brother also works here and they look the same. Everyone calls him the other Jim.

*blinks*

So Andy is OJ which is short for Other Jim but they really just call him Juice.

Got it.

Somebody kick me, I think this was the Inception of nicknames.

That's almost as bad as Michael Scott introducing Darryl Philbin as "Mr. Rogers" to Ryan in the office. Ryan asks "Darryl Rogers?", and Darryl explains the progression:

Darryl Philbin -> Regis Philbin -> Regis -> Rege -> Roger -> Mr. Rogers

The only real one, as dumb & random as this connection was, I instantly knew where (first name protected) Eastes' "basket" nickname came from:

Eastes -> Easter -> Easter Basket -> "Basket"
