What's the most balanced meal you can get at a fast food joint?

By balanced, I'm assuming you mean some meat, some carbs, some dairy, and some vegetables?

Sounds like a your generic burger to me...

[Edit] Or grilled chicken sandwich if you're not into beef

just don't ever walk into those junk places

go into the grocery store next door,

freah apple/orange/banana
lowfat cottage cheese,
etc
eat for health

Cheapest and healthiest, imo:

Wendy's 99 cent menu:

- Caesar side salad (using 1/2 the dressing is plenty)
- Chicken sandwich

= $2 lunch!!

Where's the rest of the balance?

I don't see any meat, nor bread in there. And you've already spent more money than I have...

As someone else mentioned the Asian Salad at McD's rules. It has chicken (grilled or fried), almonds, lil baby oranges, peas, and tastes great. You don't have to use the almonds, or all the dressing either, about half the dressing is fine so low calorie.

As others have said, WTF do you mean by balanced? If you want a healthy hamburger grill a couple yourself. They taste better than fast food burgers too.

Chick-fil-A Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich with a Salad or Fruit Cup and water. Oh and the golden wheat bun is HFCS free.

Mcd
Local one has 2 bigmacs for 3 bucks
1 double cheesburger
apple pie
fruit parfeit

Wendys
2 jr bacon cheesburgers no mayo
Spicy chicken sandwich
Small frosty
ceaser side salad
Chicken nuggets

Jack in the Box
4 tacos
Jumbo jack with cheese no mayo

Not quite balanced, but what I usually get...

Jumbo Jack, onion rings, chocolate shake. That's balanced.

Well, let's see. We have representation from the congealed group, the friend group, and the chocotastic!

Check.

There's nothing that can compare to a Wendy's #5.

Grilled chicken breast burger with lettuce + tomato
Replace the fries with a baked potato--which is one of nature's finest foods
And water/diet coke.

Low in sugar and fat, high in protein and good carbs.

Chick-fil-a grilled chicken sandwich. I read an article once that talked about how almost every grilled chicken sandwich at fast food restaurants (with the noted exception of chick-fil-a) aren't really grilled and aren't as good as you think. Basically like they soak the chicken in oils and fat and stuff until it becomes saturated, then they cook it, then they separate it, then a machine puts the grill marks on it. So basically it's "grilled" before it even gets to the restaurant. It's been awhile and I don't know if the article had any legitimate sources or not, but it definitely would not surprise me. Anyway, found this, looks like a good thing to check.
