Like why you didn't come home at a normal hour / why you left the car at the bar / why you forgot to meet your friend?

If it's a responsible decision, ie: not driving, or takinga bus or a cab yes

If it's because you fvcked up, never. unless of course it was harmless puking that only damaged urself.
