Mine:
I was "Mister Blister" for a while on the SNES X-Band video game network in 1996/1997. I saw that name in the manual. I had tried several of the usernames I saw there. The rest were taken. I was messaged out-of-the-blue a few times from other users that thought I was an Catapult employee (and that's kinda the reason I did it). I had another account called "Nutbucket." One of the avatar pics was an alien head with visible brain. The low-fidelity of SNES made the brain look like peanuts...so I thought "Nutbucket" was a funny name.

Later, I couldn't get inspired. I tried a few things, like "FraggleGod" and something else. I missed X-BAND and started using zbattle.net to find other people to play SNES games against with the ZSNES emulator. I would play mostly Tetris Attack and Killer Instinct. There were a couple of challenging TA players (only a couple), and almost no challenging KI players (until Atmos showed up). To attract attention from KI fans, I named myself after a KI character's special move: B. Orchid's "Ichi Ni San" -- I already knew that it was Japanese for "1,2,3" -- but that's almost all the Japanese I know.

And that completely explains your avatar! I always wondered about that.

King Crimson is absolutely one of my favorite bands. Been following them since 1969 and have all their albums.
My handle was crafted after the song 21st Century Schizoid Man.

Wouldn't this be a better avatar?

I tried to make a parody of the "No Shave November" thread: "No Slave November"

At the same time, I set this avatar. Thread was locked immediately.

I salute you on your taste, Sir.
I want Epitaph played at my funeral.

The meaning of my user name is a heavily protected government secret, guarded by a five headed dog.

Was looking for a screen name on AOL 20 some odd years ago - back when the internets first came out. Went through various animals and what not and they were all taken. After literally finding out "marmoset" was taken, I said screw this and gave myself a new moniker. Now twenty years later, I just look like a dude who can't spell....

When I was in high school, I was in a youth group who ran its meetings under strict Robert's Rules of Order. When I went to college, my school did not have a chapter of my dad and brother's fraternity, so I founded a chapter.

When we started having meetings, we were instructed by the National Office of the fraternity to follow Robert's Rules of Order. As I was the only person who really knew the rules, I was the only person who could properly bring a motion (until I taught everyone else the rules).

Thus, I was the "motion man", which turned into MotionMan.

At the time, I had no intention on becoming a lawyer. Ironically, now, I write motions professionally.

I was Rage on 3Dforums 15 years ago. I followed a FSFT cross post and ended up here. Rage was already taken. It suggested Rage188 but I changed it to Rage187.
