I'm getting worried.. since I used to run it on WBK38 which was a blow dryer..

but now i'm running it with a Taisol..

and the temp seems to higher..

I dont want to burn out my chip..

How long does it usually take for a CPU to burn out.. if the Heatsink isn't mounted properly ??

56 degrees isn't too bad. I'm running a Duron 600 @ 35°C. As long as you stay below the 80°C you should be ok.

I think that the TBird can take about 90°C. Not sure though.

Look Here

Page 33 of the PDF.

The maximum die temperature is specified through
characterization at 90ºC for frequencies up to 1000 MHz, and
95ºC for frequencies 1100 MHz and above.

Thanks for all the information guys.. :)

it averaged out at 53 degrees..

I was scared it was gonna burn out... I smelled something burning ( bbq scent )

I thought it was the CPU ... but I looked out the window.. and downstairs neighbor is having a BBQ ;)
