whats the max length for a printer cable?

nahhh...we ran a special order 50' cable in office building one time...had no problems...
but really better to setup a print server and just use the network...

Conventional wisdom says 15' for a parallel cable and the same for USB. If you use a quality brand cable 25' parallel or USB should be OK, and I have seen 50' pre-made parallel cables. The real problem is signal voltage drop over long runs.:)
