What's the lowest-power chipset out right now?

I'm going to be putting together a file-server for my movies and music and am trying to figure out which board I should go with. The server is going to be headless so I don't care anything about the integrated graphics other than that it has it. I just want to find a board with a chipset that uses as little power as possible. I'd prefer an AMD board but if Intel boards are laying the smack-down on AMD boards in the power department I'll go Intel. If anyone has a suggestion I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks.

Oh, and I looked at Atom but it's not going to work for my needs.

Geforce 8200 and AMD 780g both very good. 770 I think even better.

P45 not so good.

One of the most noteworthy features of the AMD chipset is its low power consumption. The chipset is rated at a TDP of only 10 Watts, which is due in large part to its 65 nm production process. For reference, Intel's chipsets are rated at a TDP of 26 Watts and use a 90 nm process.

I think, and I did not continue to google to find exact numbers, but the 770 chipset with a 5050e or 4850e 45W CPU should be a great combo for low power use.

Anyone know of a site that would show the money saved using the different power saving options preferably show weekly and yearly differences.

Mr. Electricty looks like he got jolted; that used a few watts.

Or, you can do an Excel/Open Office Calc spreadsheet yourself, using cost-per-watt/hr from your power bill or local power company web site. Figure out savings per day, multiply by seven for weeks, 365 for yearly savings.

Lots of posters have done these calculations on ATforums, too, you can search and find them.

770 does not have an IGP, though.
