What's the longest you've ever gamed?

After reading the report of that wus dieing after less than 2 state days of gaming, I?d like to know, what?s the longest any of you?ve gone with no sleep using a computer?

I once worked on my computer from Thursday around noon till Sunday around 9pm.

I played FF8 for a little over 24 hours straight once.

At work I use a computer for 12 hours on average.

I know I played Diablo 2 for more than 24 hours on more than one occasion. Also played everquest once for 24 hours.

It's really starting to piss me off that people can poke fun at people who've died, ie: the wuss comment.

You have to remember that when you guys game/work "for XX hours straight" I'm betting you guys get up to eat, drink, piss, occasionally stretch ... (right?) - this guy did nothing but sit like a statue (with the exception of two hands moving)

I did a 16-hour stretch of a mix of Deus Ex (that game still 0wnz, beat it again yesterday) Counter-Strike and Warcraft III.

the longest was probably over a long weekend... 48 hrs or so, but that included a few bathroom breaks and a couple of breaks for pizza

edit: DAoC was the game, i was getting my lvl 46 Druid to 50

With bathroom breaks, food and drink...more than a day...

the one time i played 40 hours of diablo 2 i didn't get up to stretch or go to the bathroom, i did drink a case of mountain dew though. but i didn't leave my chair.

My college buddies and I had a lan party (Quake and starcraft) once on a 3 day weekend.... we played non-stop... except for bathroom breaks... and we lived on mountain dew and M&Ms.... ahhh.. the good ol days...

Hmm, trying to finish Half-Life in one day. I stopped to eat, sleep, take a shower, and check the mail, but it took me the better part of two days. Nothing makes you feel more unproductive at the end of the weekend. Never again...

I think the longest I probably ever went was maybe 8 hours during college playing an old LucasArts fps game called Outlaws. I didn't actually spend the entire 8 hours playing the game. I'd go into a game, play, then we'd all come back into MSN's gaming zone, talk a bit with my online friends, then play another game with different people.

It was fun at the time, but I never even come close to that now. The longest I play these days is maybe 2 hours tops and that's only rarely. Call me cheesy, but I'd rather spend a little time with my wife, my dog, and my good friend the television

I remember when I had 2, yes *2* computers in my bedroom - networked. This was back in the days when Quake 2 just came out. But oh no, we didn't play no stinkin Quake, we played Duke 3D Till 7 Am! We started probably around 10pm the night before - sick stuff indeed We saw the sun coming up and we looked at each other, and said "Ok dude, enough" and caught some Z's
