What's The Longest Time You Have Gone Without Sleeping?!

I heard if you don't sleep for 3 days, your brain starts to act funny.

On this one Japanese TV show, they had whoever stayed up the longest gets $10,000 USD. This guy won by staying up for about 50 hours. Around that time, they made the last two lye down so one will go to sleep because the doctor said it's dangerous.
 
hasn't this been posted before? I mean the question, not the info on the Japanese tv show. Anyways, longest I've gone is abot 36 hours during exam week. Set a personal best 20 hour "nap" immediately after too 🙂

Guess I have been awake to long and my brain is to slow to post it myself.

Never really tried to go a long time

I am usually up to 3 now a days anyway for no reason whatsoever.
 
only about two days for me.

a radio dj did 5 days for a publicity stunt and towards the end, he was getting paranoid that people were putting poison in his coffee and trying to kill him.
 
i did start to hallucinate.and get very paranoid...plus it was costing lots of $$$$ 🙂
 
I stayed up for about 50 or so during exams, 36 hours of which was spent in one sitting writing my end-of-term 15 page paper. Got a B on it too! 🙂
