What's the Longest Play Time for an RTS?

What RTS did you play and how long did it take to complete?

For me, it was Total Annihilation. It took 16 hours one time to play, and didn't even finish it because we were all so damn tired!
Cloakable nuclear power plants and moho metal makers rule! 😉

Second is WarCraft II. I think it took us about 13 or 14 hours to complete one game before with our own custom map.

Wow, you must have lost some vision from so much playing!

I can only take 3 hours at a time on Counter Strike. I feel like a total loser when I play for so long! Useless guilt. 🙁

I played a 5 or 6 hour game of Total Annihilation at one point. I was a n00b at the time.

TA is still gets my vote for the best RTS ever.

i used to run a metal heck, 10k 10k 15 minute bt strategy like a champ. 100% sucess rate

I'm a TA:CC player... I just build enough defense until I can get 1 Krogoth built. The game is mine from there. 😀

i plaied metal gear solid 2 for 20 straight hours from beginning to end.

Are you talking how many hours straight, or just the lenght of time to complete the game from start to finish ?

The longest straight for me is probably about 8 hours playing Hostile Waters: Anteaus Rising.

Longest from start to finish is hard to say becuase some take longer becuase I suck at the game at first. Star Craft is pretty long and so is Hostile Waters: Anteaus Rising. Other games I have would be longer but I couldn't ever finish the game becuase they got too hard.

Oh boy, I'm gonna feel like a loser for saying this but...

Homeworld took me about 20hrs to complete. It was a tough one too.

Also I once played CS for ~78hrs in a 2 week time period.
My longest time playing CS in one sitting I think is 11hrs.

Not really 'on topic' here, but...

Loaded up on defenses in Starcraft, mainly Seige tanks I think, let the game run but I 'switched' back out to Windows to like surf and chat etc.

Came back 4 hours later and everyone was still trying to get to me.

Was worth a chuckle though when I told everyone about it afterwords. 🙂

Bout 4 hours of scraft, when all me and a friend knew were terrains and we didn't know to build bcs or wraiths. we played until all the resources ran out, sad to say I lost.

this is when scraft just came out.
