what's the latest .NET 2005 release?

I know .NET 2005 has been released in various beta version, I'm not sure which one is the current one, but it should be almost as good/stable as the retail one by now.
Does anyone know if it's possible to d/l the latest version somewhere? And also, when is the retail version finaly coming out?

Visual Studio 2005 was released about two weeks ago.

I thought it wasn't out yet, since they won't let you download the trial versions 'till mid December.

it is out. it's available on the msdn subscriber downloads site (if you're a subscriber). i'm currently using it for a project.
