my best friend is currently laid up in her bed after a work accident that left her with bruised ribs and a broken leg... because she's relying on her mom for all of her meals, all she's been eating is healthy junk D:

since I was coming over to visit her today anyways, I decided to pick her up some greasy diner food so we could have lunch together.

  • loaded fries (fries with cheese and bacon)
  • fried buffalo chicken rolls (think of an egg roll, but stuffed with buffalo chicken and cheese)
  • 2 x taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches
  • 2 x slices of red velvet cake

even though it's take-out, I still rounded up and tipped about 15%, just because it's a restaurant that I go to all the time and I think they know my face enough that they usually show their appreciation by seating me quickly when it's crowded or never rushing me out the door when I'm there with a date, even when it's busy... today they threw in a free slice of lemon cheesecake

that sounds incredible...I love greasy american food.

The last thing I ordered was an ultimate skillet at Denny's. I know, Denny's sucks ass but I have a customer that loves it. It's the second time I've been there with him, I swear I'm never going out to eat with him again.

10 boneless hot.
Hooters sucks ass, but the chicks are cute. And the day girls are much cooler than the night chicks.

I actually love their wings (bone in).

Last thing I had was a "Q Shoe".

It was:

- two pieces of texas toast
- a huge helping of slow smoked BBQ pork shoulder
- a slathering of BBQ sauce
- a pile of fries on top of that
- and then a big helping of melted queso cheese smothered all over it

It was a plate full of awesome.

If you have to put queso on your BBQ it's not good enough.

I believe their slogan is, "our wings are great but our breasts are the best!"

Oh, and the last thing I ordered from a restaurant was a Ronie Burger from the Mircal of Science Bar and Grill. 2 parts beef patty, 1 part chopped jalepenos and other spices. All win. Definitely a place to check out if you happen to be in Cambridge MA.

Pork tenderloin from Outback. It was pretty good. Before that I had a fantastic cheeseburger from Houston's, and the previous night a Reuben from a local deli. Terrific foods.

It's more for the fries than anything. The cheese really doesn't get all the way down to the meaty middle of the sammich. If I'm doing a straight pork or brisket bbq then no, there is no cheese on it. But if I've got a a striated layer of french fries between? Bring on the cheese!

From a Lunch "restaurant" (Take Out): Buffalo Shrimp Burrito (shrimp in Buffalo sauce, with rice, cheese, etc) and Fries and a dish of chipotle sauce to dip the fries in.

Last sit down place: Stuffed Pork Tenderloin. It came with Potatos sliced thin (like a pastry dough, not chips) and baked layered with mushrooms and roasted pumpkin and covered in a pork~drippings reduction. And roasted veggies. Pretty decent bottle of Merlot to wash it down. Desert was a cinnamon ice cream and fruit compote ("compote" being a fancy name for "squashed with a heavy object")

The "San Antonio" breakfast from the restaurant in my hotel. Chorizo and eggs, refried beans, potatoes, and tortillas. Pretty tasty.

Now that sounds like a breakfast of champs there. I just might have to make that tomorrow morning. I've got some chorizo in the fridge. No refried beans..but I could make do without them.
