what's the last thing you ordered at a restaurant?

my best friend is currently laid up in her bed after a work accident that left her with bruised ribs and a broken leg... because she's relying on her mom for all of her meals, all she's been eating is healthy junk D:

since I was coming over to visit her today anyways, I decided to pick her up some greasy diner food so we could have lunch together.

  • loaded fries (fries with cheese and bacon)
  • fried buffalo chicken rolls (think of an egg roll, but stuffed with buffalo chicken and cheese)
  • 2 x taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches
  • 2 x slices of red velvet cake

even though it's take-out, I still rounded up and tipped about 15%, just because it's a restaurant that I go to all the time and I think they know my face enough that they usually show their appreciation by seating me quickly when it's crowded or never rushing me out the door when I'm there with a date, even when it's busy... today they threw in a free slice of lemon cheesecake

korean bbq

so short rib, brisket, bulgolgi, and spicy black cod

Iberico de Bellota pork.

So good I made a thread about it.

I had some dry/cured iberico the other day; pretty good but wasn't worth the obscene price tag. I'd like to try it again some day though, esp. a cooked version like yours.

Last thing I had was a "Q Shoe".

It was:

- two pieces of texas toast
- a huge helping of slow smoked BBQ pork shoulder
- a slathering of BBQ sauce
- a pile of fries on top of that
- and then a big helping of melted queso cheese smothered all over it

It was a plate full of awesome.

Schezwan chicken, tofu curls, and eggplant with garlic sauce. I'll generally get it on fridays when I'm too tired and lazy to cook something up. It generally works out well, since I have leftovers for the weekend, during which I can stockpile up cooked meals for the week.

Does Quiznos count? I had a turkey/bacon/guacamole sub yesterday with cheese and broccoli soup. Topped it off with a heavenly Pepsi Throwback. Foul weather demands a hearty lunch. I really wish it wasn't next door to my office. I'm not worried about my waistline. The slimming of my fat wallet on the otherhand...

Beefeater salad. Big salad topped with a big pile of shaved medium rare roast beef. MMmmmm.

If delivery counts, Pizza Hut's Big Dipper. If not, a bacon cheeseburger from Wings Your Way and some Shipyard Pumpkinhead Pints.

Had a Reuben Melt Burger - swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island on thickly sliced, toasted rye with a medium-rare burger. Came with homemade fries that were perfectly done and a quarter-slice of a homemade pickle. Was awesome.
