Whats the last movie that really touched you?

I just watched Black Hawk Down for like the 80th time beause i just finished a lot of work and was tired and needed to relax, so i popped my first disc of my special edition set and watched it again.

When the credits come on and the Minstrel Boy song plays i just have to say, wow...it really gets me choked up for so many reasons...btw i have read the book many times and have written to some of the soldiers, (you could say i am a BHD freak)....There is just a lot to say about those men and the honor and courage they showed....really puts things into perspective...

hell this trailer gets me emotional because of the whole brotherhood stuff...(and i am not talking about all the marketing BS)
BHD Video Clip

anyways doing my own research i read the medal of honor accounts and other stories of Gary Gordon and Randy Shugart, two men that i believe should be remembered forever for their pure bravery and determination. If I could ever earn half the honor that those men did i would die a happy man.

anyways what movie does this for you....?? also see poll....

(sorry dont mean to get all emotional and womenly on you 😛 )

We were soldiers gets me.. so does gladiator and braveheart..

btw where is the michael moore sucks so I didnt watch that POS... poll option

No movie has touched me more then Schindlers List. Also, the movie "Hot Nurses in Heat" really touched me as well. No, wait a minute.... I touched myself after that one. 😉

no movies, im more of a tv guy....but the Spin City episode when mike leaves, really sad and ofcourse the last friends episode

michael moore is like the liberal rush limbaugh. both fat-assed fvcktards.
that being said i saw the movie. the parts that were obvious propoganda made me groan, the parts that were true i already knew about, the stuff that wasn't included is more interesting.

of course those parts are different for everybody, depending on your knowledge and biases. 😉

You need to add the option "I didn't see it" to your last poll. You can add "Micheal Moore is a big fat gas bag" to that option also if you like.

I just watched "Finding Neverland" last week and it choked me up.
Shawshank Redemption, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Pulp Fiction stand as my all-time favorites in the "serious movies" category.

Pulp Fiction was a serious movie? 😕

didnt make me tear up or get a lump in my throat, but recently i watched 'something the lord made' again and that ending is pretty strong to me. on tv, the first episode of 'news radio' after phil hartman died had pretty much the same effect. i just sat there thinking to myself "wow".

my friend on the other hand was bawling like a little girl with a skinned knee at the end of 'the passion of the christ'. should've known what i was getting myself into taking a devout catholic to a movie like that. my other best friend looked at me when he noticed it also and said to me with his eyes: "can you believe this guy is crying?!".

Damn dude, those were the exact movies I was thinking of. We Were Soldiers always gets me when the women are out distributing the death notices and the very last scene of the movie.

Gladiator - "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."

The last movie that touched me was Carebears Dreamland when my three year old daughter chucked it at me and hit me in the head. :|

I just asked my girlfriend this question. She says it's not a movie but a documentary on Terry Fox. He's a Canadian who lost a leg to Cancer and began a quest to run across Canada to support cancer research. His cancer ended up getting to his lungs and he had to stop the marathon. He died shortly after and is pretty much a Canadian hero. A very touching story if you have not heard it before. On a related note. The Canadian government recently minted a commerative dollar coin in his honor.
