mp3s serve as good 'preview' due to their wide availability but CDs still have their place; you cant beat cd->FLAC sound quality (unless its SACD or DVD-A) plus you never get the same sense of accomplishment that comes from collecting your favorite CDs hope those RIAA idiots get that through their heads one day.
