What is it in the USA?

University of British Columbia ~35,000 students.
University of Toronto has over 50,000 students.

/edit Though it might be UCLA but that is only 12,000

According to USNews OSU only has ~36,000 students (unless you count graduate school, in which case I'm not sure). University of Texas was listed with 37,000 undergrads so I bet they're the most populated school in the US.

I heard that Wisconsin is a huge university also. But I remember from playing NCAA '99 on playstation that OSU was listed as having the most students (the fact sheets while the game loads)

university of texas was the largest last fall. around 51,000 students. (grad+undergrad) new enrollment figures will come out in a couple weeks and we'll see if we still are.

I think ASU (Arizona State University) is the largest one west of the Mississippi and in the top 5 overall in the US. Or used to be anyway.

I thought they listed enrollment as 60,000 plus several years ago...? I remember it was an almost unbelievable number that dwarfed other Pac10 schools.

ASU counts 3 campuses to do that.

UT-Austin is 51000+ by itself.

I agree with superkieth....There is a University of Pheonix in just about every state. We have three of them here in Utah.

this is big

Bangalore World University is one of the finest institutions of higher learning in the solar system?and definitely the largest. From its humble beginnings as a teachers? college in India, BWU has grown to encompass 10 primary campuses and 90 extension campuses that educate more than 1.3 million students, all of whom are proud Golden Lions. If you have what it takes, you can become one of us.

Stateuniversity of Utrecht (Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht, RUU) and Stateuniversity of Groningen (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, RUG) in the Netherlands are hovering around the 20,000 mark.

And there are no campuses. Students have to take care of housing and the like, for themselves.

I think it really depends on how you count everything.

Penn State University has about 41,000 students enrolled at the Main Campus.
The University has branch campuses, spread throughout the state, where a lot of students do the first 2 years of a four year degree.
If you include the Penn State University system, there are more than 80,000 students.

And I don't think this is the largest university in the US. Don't know which one is though.

If youre talking 1 campus, Ohio State and Texas are the 2 biggest. We always rotate, depending on the outgoing and incoming classes.

Penn St doesnt count, they have 20-something campuses.

Yeah, it's UT at Austin (currently) and if they keep up their stupid admissions policy, we'll keep growing and growing and...... At least Ohio St. got smarter and they're population is shrinking down to a more resonable size.

Anyway-- Geforcekj, I find your original post funny--unless British Columbia and Toronto is part of the USA.
