Whats the largest sum of cash youve seen at once? Like in person, not at the bank, or some display. Today my dads old business partner/friend came over and my dad showed me 2 fat bundles of $100s and they had straps on them saying $10,000...so the most ive seen in person is 20,000 cash!....weird to think that it was in the house for more then a week and i didnt even know...

Does your Dad and his business partner sell drugs or cheat on their taxes?

I don't know how much it was. $50,000,000 maybe? Not sure. It was in the cash room at a casino.

Seriously whenever there is a thread like this you seem to try to beat everyone. Im not saying that its not possible that you have seen a mill in cash. But I am saying that your always coming up with these great stories/expierences. Just seems kind of fishy.

you'd be suprised how great and incredible your own experiences (even if they seem mediocre) would seem to others if you were to share them in the right format. this particular guy wanted to REALLY make a point about paying for the house in cash. brought a cop, a banker, and some type of insurance agent to the transaction too.

i was like 11 or 12 at the time, and the details of who was there and why they were there are kinda fuzzy to me. i knew the son of the former owner of the house, that's why i was there.

in all honesty, it's not at all impressive. but i did see 1,000,000 in cash. and if that's all you take into account, then yes, i guess it is somewhat impressive. but the impressiveness fades when you start looking at backgrounds.

$10,000 or $30,000. My dad threw it on my lap when I was like 10 and said to guard it.

£3000 when I got a bankers draft to buy a new car!...that was back in 2000, I was 18 then so it was pretty cool.

Anywhere from 750,000 to 4,00,0000 a day that I personally sign for, verify and transport from one secure room to another in a mega resort in Vegas.

$120,000 on the PS2 launch day
$80,000 on the X-box launch day
$60,000 on the game cube launch day

I used to work for a small EB and I had to count all that loot :(

Cheers,

Hard to say. I used to work for a bank and I had to head down to the vault from time to time.

Once there was literally a pallette of cash that was probably 6' x 6' x 6'.

I worked as a bank teller while in college and after graduation I was a temporary head teller for a while and my vault generally averaged around $300,000.00 on any given day. When I was working as a regular teller our branch was running low on cash and the manager sent me and another teller to get some cash from another branch 5 miles down the road. I had a VW Beetle at that time (old air cooled type) so we went and picked up $40,000.00 in cash in a couple of those white canvas bags banks use for money and threw them in the trunk of the bug. It felt more than a little scary to be hauling around that kind of cash so casually.

Millions and millions all in various rooms......in one corner of one room was $5 million in $1 bills on pallets, in other rooms was sheet after sheet being printed, cut, inspected, wrapped, etc. Of course, this was seen on a tour of the Treasury Building in Wash, DC., many , many years ago. (Back in the late '60's). The stack of $1 bills was jsut to show how many dollars it took to make that much money.......damn, was a big, high stack on numerous pallets.

I'm sure there was more than tens of millions in the building we saw, probably hundreds of millions........and all of it 20 feet below us as we walked along a raised corridor fronted with bulletproof glass and armed guards stationed here and there. Interestingly, no guards on the printing floor.....at least that could be seen. Lots of cameras, though.
