It's officially never been 120F in Tucson.

Owned.

I'd say for me, probably around 112 is the hottest i've ever felt, here in Nor Cal.

Haha, maybe 120 with the heat index tacked on.

Heat index is not real temperature.

I don't give a sh!t if heat index is a real temperature or not. When it's 100 degrees and the humidity is jacked up to 75%, it is down right hell on earth.

Those combinations are worse than anything Phoenix offered. Yeh it was 120 in Phoenix, but you get in the shade and it isn't oppressive. You can't escape humidity. It wilts you and hits you like a muggy oven when you walk out the door.

In AZ the temp and sun were intense and it would burn the piss out of you if you got into your car or grabbed onto a metal door handle.

But in the parts of the US that get 100 degrees and match it with humidity, it's just pure misery. Just walking to your car leaves you drenched in sweat and walking in and out of an air conditioned building makes your glasses fog up.

BLECK!

As for the question, the hottest I've been in around 116 in Phoenix.

I see what you're saying. I looked at the weather history and the 96% humidity came earlier in the morning, and the 90+ degree heat came later on in the day. But it was still 80%+ humidity when it was in the 80's.

I have to agree with the above poster. The highest temps we get around here is around 32-34 celcius which is around 94 degress. We had that the other day along with a humidity of 84%. The humidex factor was around 110-115. It was sickening. We had a good thunderstorm later that night and now everything is well.

122 in Needles, Calif back in 08/79. I was passing thru from the Grand Canyon heading towards Barstow, Calif. and it didn't feel that super hot with the windows open and no a/c.

I think it hit ~110-115F in central texas near waco for a couple of days with like 98%humidity. We had fun and cooked a few sunny side up eggs on the black top road in front of our house. That kind of heat/humidity isn't really out of the ordinary this time of year there.

It was 102ºF here a few summers ago..

lol

I agree though, the temperature alone is no indication of what it actually feels like..

When it gets into the tripple digits here in Portland, the humidity is typically about 15%.

It was ~90 degrees with ~35% humidity just the other day, and that was hell.

I absolutely cannot imagine what it would be like to have 75% humidity and be 95+.

I think I would just fall over dead.

I'm not disagreeing with you. Right now in Tucson/Phoenix the monsoon season season has started with temps in the mid/high 90's and humidity around 40%. It's pretty awful, until the warm rain comes. :D

About 42C (around 108F) in Thessaloniki Greece. Humidity must've been high, because DAMN that felt bad.

Got at least that hot in Davis California a few times when we lived down there.
