Whats THE hot, addictive, time consuming game for 2006 for the PC?

I honestly cannot see how anyone could enjoy this game. I've played it once (part 1) and I must say it was garbage. I mean if you like D&D then play D&D. I just don't like how if you are supposed to be attacking something, the whole world pauses while you roll a stupid dice to see if you win. Board game, ok it makes sense, but for a pc it is completely unnecessary.

But with the video game, I can't lose my dice!

With that said, I'm going to have to say that WoW will remain on the top of the digital crack charts.
