Yesterday in thermodynamics/statisical mechanics we were talking about the 10^23 dimension. :shocked:

We were talking about momentum space or something. :p

I :heart: thermo/stat mech. The only physics class I got a solid A in

We were talking about the space that contains all of the momentum states of an ideal gas. But I really have not grasped the concept yet. :eek:

Yup, sounds like phase space. And it's not just for ideal gases. As long as you can get a coordinate and momentum for your particles, you can constuct this space for whatever system you want.
