What's the highest safe current I can charge my Lithium Ion battery at?

My dog chewed through both my micro usb cables and my phone is dead. I've got my Triton charger ready to charge the battery directly but I'm not sure what the max safe current is. Lithium Polymers are happy at 1 times the capacity and safe at 2 time but I'm sure about the Ions. Any input? It's a 1500 mah single cell from my droid x.

1.5 amps it is then. Luckily, my charger has a temp probe.

I'd do it @1A to be safe, most manufactuer units come in between 500mA and 1A.
