A couple friends and me bought a breathalyzer off ebay and got trashed and tried it out. We used it periodically through the night with it getting higher and higher. The last i remember I blew a .31 then woke up the next mourning sleeping next to my friends golden retriever with a football helmet on head.

Ok so one thing I dont understand is how the test refusal works.

If you refuse to take any form of test, the consequences are worse than if you took a test and got caught being intoxicated, right??

Also, can you refuse to take the breathalizer test, and ask to take just the blood test instead?

Can you demand that the cops give you a blood test, even if you took the breathalizer first and failed that?

It would seem odd if cops you prosecute you based on a breathalizer test alone, especially after folks have been commenting on the errors associated with them.

If you refuse the breathalyzer, they will still arrest you for failing the roadside sobriety tests, lack of nystagmus in the eyes, odor, erratic driving.

Then you lose your licence for longer, and most likely have a DUI conviction.

If you refuse, you gotta hope you get off in court, or else you lose your licence AND have all the other DUI conditions.

my highest was 0. I have never drank in my life.

:0

how old are you? what are your reasons for not drinking? I mean surely you've been offered an opportunity or 2 at one point?

I'm 18. Frankly I think it's stupid. Of course I have been offered, and at times even thought about going ahead. But, whats the point? You drink, you get drunk (probably not a good feeling), you do stupid things, then you dont feel good the next day. Your drinking poison. It can really fvck up your life.

And, its just against everything I have been taught growing up.

You have finally posted something intelligent. I agree with you. BTW, alcohol is a solvent. It cleans grease and paint off of metals. Can you imagine what it can do to your organs? As a society, we're lucky to live as long as we do, with all the poison we ingest.

Wow, you guys must be really really fun to hang around with! The life of the party I bet!

i believe anything under 0.08 is good for a warning but i'm not 100% sure.
