What's the going hourly rate for pc and or network consulting?

Dont ask here. Whats your local area support? If there are boatloads of unemployed techs, that will REALLY drive the rates down.

Where do you live? Will this be a one time deal or will they be looking to you for ongoing help and support?

I've been hearing around 50-70 dollars depending on what you are doing but was just looking for an approximate. Doesn't need to be so accurate.

i've done small work like that..live in midwest. charged $50 an hour. remember not to do to much work over $500 i think or you will have to report on your taxes for this year.

I charge either $50 or $75 just to put on my coat,it's then $50-$75 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. For really large jobs I will give flat rate estimates.
