I've been ok with them. They are nothing great but no worse or better than anyone else I've found.
Their coverage can be a little spotty though. When I driving for my last job I had a few places even on the interstate where there was no signal. The worst was when I had to go to sites north of Portland, Me. Soon as got about 20 miles north of Portland, Me all I had was roaming.

You think the A900 is sweet? pfft

I got the 920, and it puts that thing to shame.

I've been with sprint since 1999, have been mostly happy with them, havent felt the need to switch to anyone else.

Here's a pic of my phone - closest I could find, but you get the idea.

So here's the deal, I get my cell phone through my dad's business and they are currently in negotiations with edge wireless about renewing their account there (edge = cingular affiliate... I guess Cingular bought them out, but they havent switched over in my area yet, so they can't give me cingulars $99 Razr deal, it would cost $170 to which is said screw that)

But how do people feel about sprints plans. I might be tempted to get that phone my roommate has if my pops business went with sprint rather than edge.

Any info would be hot! Thanks :)

LOL???!?!? you think that POS is the coolest phone around?

thats about as cheap as they get...

look at Nokia N90-N92s or 6230i or half the other top end phones on Nokia.com

or the new RZR with MMC card capabilities..

or even the new LG all in 1 that is only on verizon..
Sprint/nextel have absolutly the worst phones on the planet as well as the WORST service and crappiest coverage anywhere in the states.
Tmobile is the only US carrier to support the top bands on the elite overseas triband phones that have such amazing reception and clarity ebcasue of it..

Cingular is a close second but they do not support the highest band on triband phones so the reception on cutting edge phones is not as good as a triband GSM phone on Tmobile.
I had Sprint for 2 years and during that time I had the WORST expirence with the phones and the service I have ever had..
after having them I will never support a NON GSM carrier ever again..

My cousin has Sprint and she told me coverage was pretty bad in boston......I am not sure what her definition of bad is, but I would be surprised if any carrier was bad in a city like Boston.....

Spring customer now for more than 5yrs. While service is not the greatest in rural areas and you will hit roam frequently when traversing outside metro areas, I think my service is really good.

They have rewarded me handsomly for being a long-term customer and their customer service isn;t all that bad. It's nice having Sprint stores to go to and the SAMSUNG MMA-900 is an awesome piece of machinery.

I plan on buying one in a few motnhs once the hype dies down as I like to keep my phones for 2+ yrs.

Currently using a Sanyo SCP-8100

I wouldn't go back with Sprint if they offered it to me free. Cell phone service is worthless when you can't stay connected for 30 seconds with full signal strength.

The SERO plan sprint offers (check hot deals) is currently unbeatable. $30 for 500 anytime/unlimited night/mobile, unlimited powervision/picture/videomail. The bad things about the plan are that you can't add a second line and share minutes, and you apparently cannot add any of the data packages that sprint will be implementing feb. 1st when they supposedly will disallow tethering.

Hey, so now Sprint's got the 7pm start to unlimited nights and weekends... VERY tempting. My Cingular contract is up and I'd love to have an A900.

Do the fair and flexible plans really work??

I worked for Sprint Wireless for a little while (they have outsourced CS here in Canada). Man, they had these huge 20 foot posters of that Sprint guy in the trenchcoat all over the place, with motivational sprint sayings. I felt like i was in Maoist China or 1984.
