What's the furthest you've travelled from your hometown on vacation?

uh for me some states are further than Canada is.

10 years ago i went on a vacation to Minnesota
Distance: 1620.0 miles one way.

It took me less than 28 hours,driving by myself,
and back then the Speed Limit was 55 mph!
Divide 55 into 1620,it comes to 29.45 hours.

This time included buying gas,eating,using the rest room,
and a 2 hour nap on the road!

Coming home it took me 28 hours,I went a different way;
that turned out to be slower,as the local roads were 3-45mph for about 100 miles.Ugh

jesus thats a long drive. my max distance is going to be around 500 miles. any further i would rather get on a plane and spend my time at my destination rather in a car. o yea btw, my longest trip is from new orleans to vietnam, 22 hrs flight time and hours lost on layovers.

the flight these days are a lot shorter now that they are flying over canada instead of over the pacific.
