I can't understand why so many times I've have seen someone ask "how large is your MP3 collection" or "what's the best file sharing program to get Mp3's or movies"(that normally they would pay for) and they get loads of responses and recommendations and everything's cool.
Now other times, I'll see someone post a question asking where they can download software(that they normally would pay for) or mention something about Warez and or Corporate/devil's own versions then all of sudden he starts getting flamed and people screaming at him "Hey you shouldn't steal software dude" or "I smell a lock" and it's usually locked in a matter of minutes.

What's the difference between one and the other that makes one so bad and the other ok?.......Just wondering

the mp3 format is not illegal. asking how many mp3s someone has, etc is not the same as asking about warez. if you asked about .exe files, than it would be equitable.
