im buying an x800xl pci-e from newegg, one is oem the other is retail, according to the packaging info the only difference from the retail is that it contains and adapter which i wouldnt think i would need because the video card has both connections and i only have one monitor. the pictures show a difference but the descriptions dont other than the adapter. so what the difference other than the pretty box and the price difference

OEMOEM

Retail

With OEM you only get the video card and a CD with the drivers, nothing else (not even the box). With retail, you get the card, the drivers, a few games bundled in with it, the retail packaging, and a warranty. For video cards I usually like to go retail for the warranty, unless there's no other choice (or unless you save like 100 bucks going OEM).

For retail you w2ill get a fancy box and accesories and stuff, but OEm is just the item in a white box or something like that.
