What's the difference?

Nothing as long as Monarch is actually selling the 90nm. But then again newegg has been price gauging for the newest items lately.

well tonight was my first time makin a trip over to monarchcomputer.com and their prices are just as good with free shipping on lots of things and it quotes that it ships 1-2 days, i think i found my new favorite site ;o
 
I was also shocked by the price difference, and suspected that Monarch was actually only selling the Newcastle (130nm) for that price. So I email them to ask, and I got this response:

As long as it states that it's a 90 nm chip, it's the Winchester.

Yeah I have been die hard Newegg for 4 or so years now, but their prices aren?t what they used to be. I was looking for the ASUS SLI board and Newegg sells it for 269 and zipzoomfly sells it for 199. Newegg had 5 dollars shipping and zzf had free 2 day. I bought my case from Xoxide because they had a $40 rebate on it, that I found out about on Newegg because Newegg was advertising a 40 rebate on the TT shark case, but when you opened the PDF it said $40 off Xoxide.com only. I went to Xoxide and sure enough hey had the rebate, their starting price was cheaper, and the shipping was 6 bucks less. However I haven?t left Newegg, because I got my PSU and Video card there. And it might just be me but I love Newegg?s layout. I love that you can look at on family of products and compare vendors. For example I knew what GPU I wanted to buy; 6600GT, so I went to look at the video cards, then I slimmed it down to just the 6600GTs, then further to just the PCIe version. Now that I only had a handful of cards to look through I found this Leadtech card that was factory OCed and would work great with my setup. Now you can't do that with other vendors I have seen, but maybe they will catch-up.

I have purchased from Monarch and they are very good. In fact, Will gave me some valuable advice as I was configuring my last PC.
 
i know this is unrelated to my topic post but since we are talking about monarchcomputers here i thought i'd ask about their ram. I was looking for some OCZ 1GB ram anything from pc-4000 to pc-4200 to pair up with my msi neo 2platinum and my future 3500+. The reason i want this high end ram is for overclocking. My first idea was to buy this ram found at new egg http://www.newegg.com/app/view...=20-146-845&depa=1 but after finding out about monarch and its great deals i'm wondering if anyone can help me find something similar for about the same price! thanks much in advance 🙂:beer:

btw this is my first time to order from the internet, i've built my own computer before and i've assembled a few others and this whole custom building thing is just awesome! i cant wait to get into overclocking. I've learned so much just in the past monthes alone from reading articles and messing with my hardware hands-on. Anyways so far i've purchased my BFG6800GT and the Aspire X-navigator case and now i'm just waiting for the rest of my hardware (3500+, ocz ram, msi neo2plat, barricuda 80gb sata) and i have all my drives ready to go!

I ordered some ram from them about a 2 months ago. Was shipped VIA FedEx Express Saver.
