I am going to buy a MSI K8T NEO FSR Motheboard and was trying to decide which Athlon processor to buy for it...

I was thinking a 3000+ processor, however searching for one on techbargains, there appear to be two that are nearly identical...

The FSB on one is 1600, and on the other it's 800... anyways, just wondering which one I should buy, or if it matters at all...

Just a little confused...

The "FSB" thing is a total load of BS.
Athlon 64's with on a bus speed of sorts, it's 200MHz.
One says 800MHz because the HTT bus (hypertransport bus) is 800MHz each way.
The other says 1600MHz because it's 800MHz each way, so 1600MHz total.

They are the same processor, just a different listing, such as 2.0GHz and 2GHz.
Buy the cheapest you find from a reputable reseller.

One is a Newcastle core, the other is a Clawhammer (thats what Newegg says). Not sure if there are any real differences though.
