I just got an External enclosure for my DVD Burner and Its a firewire / USB 2.0 enclosure. It didn't come with any cables just the case and power cord. Whats the difference between the 6 -> 4 Pin, 6 -> 6 Pin, and 4 -> 4 Pin cable? I forget if it provides power or what not but is there a noticable speed / transfer rate difference between the 4 and 6 pins?

6 pin provides power, 4 does not.

also 20 gauge wire allows max 5 meters, 22 islike 3.3, 24 is like 2 meters.

6 to 4 is normally used for PC to DV Camera/camcorder
4 to 4 is used for DV Camera to DV Camera

dunno what 6 to 6 is, probably firewire for hard drives and burners im guessing
